Before this war started Israel has been subject to terrorist attacks for a long time:
- Over 1,182 Israelis have died due to terror attacks
- There are 836 children orphaned due to terror attacks
- There have been 7,735 wounded, some crippled for life
- There have been 123 Israeli children slaughtered by terrorists
Since the start of the war over 2500 rockets and missiles have fallen on Israel, causing many casualties, including a father and his fourteen year old daughter tonight. Houses are scarred, damaged, and in some cases completely destroyed. Half a milliion Israelis are are refugees from the north. The economy in the north is halted, and there will be a great need for rebuilding even if this ends tomorrow.
It is time to assist Israel, our strongest ally in the Mid-East, and below are some links to charities that are helping now, click on the pictures to get to the donation sites:

Thanks for stopping by and contributing friends.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s Red Cross equivalent, a very worthy cause. To contribute in the U.S. go to:

From their Aug. 2, 2006 update: Magen David Adom has 750 ambulances on active duty and has taken care of nearly 1,300 wounded people in northern Israel since Hizbollah began their attacks. Official figures put the number of injured closer to 1,800, however many lightly wounded people have refused treatment or went to the hospital later in the day.
Magen David Adom emergency crews have been working double shifts in the north since the outbreak of hostilities. At the same time, calls to MDA have increased nationwide. Magen David Adom is bearing a large burden as many of its personnel are reservists who have been called to duty in the past week. MDA is circulating personnel from around the country to serve in northern Israel in order to maintain peak efficiency.
Thanks Rona, I will clean this up a bit make it more appealing and put a para or two about the aid agencies this weekend, right now I am working 12 and 14 hour days, so I haven’t been able to do this during the week.
International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews was founded in 1983 to promote understanding and cooperation between Jews and Christians and to build broad support for Israel and other shared concerns. Our vision is that Jews and Christians will reverse their 2,000-year history of discord and replace it with a relationship marked by dialogue, understanding, respect and cooperation.
Based in Chicago and Jerusalem, The Fellowship operates under the leadership of Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, and is governed by an independent board of directors, people from both faith groups who share our strong belief in building bridges between the Christian and Jewish communities.
