Moon Pics That Didn’t Quite Turn Out

Moon Pics That Didn’t Quite Turn Out

The title pretty much tells you what the video is about, for every good moon picture I take I get 15 to 20 that end up blurry, black, or just F’d up… Sometimes they are oddly worth looking at however. The Soundtrack is the Bangles, a remake of Paul Simon’s “Hazy Shade of Winter” and you can’t go bad buying their greatest hits linked below.

Theme Change

Theme Change

I’ve backed out to the old version of my blog’s theme after a new upgrade of the Inanis theme I was using changed things to unreadable. I don’t have time to debug it over the next few days, hence the backout until I can spend some time on what went wrong.

UPDATE: There were some javascript files that needed updating that weren’t in the auto upgrade, I popped by Inanis net and picked them up so all is well. The new version allows you to widen the window to fit the page with a “full screen” button in the upper right corner of the header, give it a try while I add my customizations back in.

Decline is a Choice

Decline is a Choice – Charles Krauthammer Wriston Lecture

While I don’t agree with some of the jibes in this lecture from Charles Krauthammer the heart and soul of this argument are pure and persuasive: America faces a long term strategic choice – and Decline is one of the options. Which choice should we make? As a moderate-right conservative I would choose the path of strength and prosperity, and to retain the abilities to stop the world from spiraling down to another world war.

This is a long lecture that contains meaty content for thought, please listen to the whole thing and remain objective. Don’t be thrown off track by use of Noam Chomsky’s favorite “H” word. Also note that from my understanding the ban on offshore drilling expired without much note from conservatives last Saturday.

A new NRCC targeted ad, simple but effective:

With the rate jump to 9.8 percent today it’s no wonder that the Dems consider this “sobering”.

October Moon Nearing Full

Here’s a picture of tonight’s beautiful moon, it’s nearing full. The sky was crystal clear, but the wind from across the Western plains was quite stiff so this is not as clear as it could be even though I was shooting from a tripod.
