The Tale of an Iraqi Hero

Musahem Al Jabouri, a police officer only four months on the job thwarted the attack of an Al Qaeda truck bomber, intent on breaking terrorists out of a jail. He ran out from the compound as the truck approach and shot the driver but died in the explosion. His brother received an award commemorating his valor from the US Forces, as Iraq does not have medals yet. Video from CNN below, but first this quote from Al Jabouri’s surviving brother, Bassim Al Jabouri:

I think my brother is a martyr, but the insurgents are not martyrs. They will go to hell. They are evil in this world.

This is so true — Al Qaeda and the Taliban have murdered more muslims than the American forces, and they continually destroy lives, mutilate men, women, and children, and try by every means to crush the future and the dreams of the Iraqi people.

Judge Refuses to Toss Wiretap Evidence in Padilla Case

marcia-cooke.jpgExpect the ACLU to go ballistic – today a United States District Court Judge hearing the Padilla case refused to toss out wiretap evidence as requested by the defense. WTG Marcia Cooke! (That’s Marcia in the Middle of this photo taken at a Broward County Federal Bar Association luncheon meeting,) The defense has also tried to have the word “terrorist” and “terrorism” banned, along with Osama Bin Laden, and other terrorist names. AP has filed a motion for release of the tapes once they are admitted as evidence, so expect some interesting recordings soon.

Taliban Target Schools

I almost did a story on this last night when I read the new article in the Pakistan Daily Times but to me it’s old news. This has been going on a long time.

The Taliban cannot stand against soldiers or real men, so instead they attack women and schoolgirls. They burn the schools, they throw acid in the faces of girls walking to school, and they kill teachers. With the Taliban it’s always the women and children who suffer most.

Orcas Island Desecration UPDATE

bomb-white-house.jpgA commenter inspired me to do some more digging, and I came across a Fox article with more information and quotes from locals. The commenter took umbrage at my observation that there are organized leftist groups in Orcas Island.

Jhelm said that putting a nazi symbol next to the peace movement was inconsistent. I am calling, and raising.

Here is a site where you can see peace marchers using the swastika with relish, just scroll down at this link. If you poke around a bit on the site you also will see code pink demonstrators with signs like “Impeach the Terrorists”, marching with 9/11 “truthers”, people with swastikas, and hamas flags. Rather Rosie-like don’t you think?

The Clinton-Boxer Pakistani Connection

boxer_barbara.jpghilary_clinton.jpgA Pakistani National who is accused of illegally contributing and funneling tens of thousands of dollars to the Boxer and Clinton campaigns has been extradited from Pakistan to the US today. The FBI nabbed Abdul Rehman Jinnah with a year-old indictment.

Meantime, in Pakistan there are numerous stories in the papers of other FBI agents in Pakistan to investigate a bank-fraud case, and other corruption scandals are brewing over immigration frauds and FIA malfeasance. This is a strange turn of events against that backdrop. Bond has been set at $300,000.00 by Los Angeles court today. More at Source Watch; more on PAL-C here.

Taliban Attacks Minister; Warnings to Sherpao

al-qaida-schism.jpgIn a sign of their desperation, Al Qaida and the Taliban are taking a page from the book of the failed Maoist/Communist revolution in Nepal; they are kidnapping children to train as Jihadis.

Orcas Island Veterans Graves Desecration UPDATE

flags-burnt.jpgWhen someone desecrates veteran’s graves and burns flags, replacing them with swastikas, you know that “peace” movement leftists must be around. In the previous update I speculated about Code Pink, and guess what I found on the San Juan Islander web site?

Here are photos from the Orcas Island Fourth of July parade from last year:

Somehow I knew that these folks would be around, yes, it’s code pink. To be fair to the islanders, there are four pages of flag-waving, patriotic Islanders leading up to this last page, and we don’t know if some one from Code Pink desecrated the graves, that investigation continues. This is more commentary on the Island’s atmosphere and culture.
