Italian Media Ignoring Darfur

The fact that major Italian media outlets are ignoring Genocide in Darfur is not surprising with the treatment Orianna Fallaci received, not surprising at all.

Reuters and Wikipedia Dissappear Years of Genocide

Is the Clintonprop machine at work again? In a recent article Reuters states that the Darfur conflict started in 2003, and if you go to the Wikipedia entry, you will find the same lie. 2003/2004 was when the Bush adminstration took a breath in the war on terror and brought this before the United Nations with addresses by Colin Powell.

Libertas Est

This is a response to Fjordman’s fine post at Gates of Vienna Wednesday. Fjordman points out that he has been a critic of the dissolution of Western Society, but that he’s offered few solutions — so in his preliminary post he names a few. I am quite hopeful that he will create a new manifesto for Europe, but the first draft is a bit weak as manifestos go.

I would agree with him on some, and disagree on others but to understand the disagreements, you need to look long term, and you need the basis of my conclusions. Fjordman bases his conclusions on the thesis that the problem is Islamic Imperialism coupled with the decline of the west in the face of a dire enemy, and he sees the decline as both societal and governmental.

In Support of Musharraf

There is a concerted attack in the western mainstream media to tar the Waziristan accord and President Musharraf along with it, however it’s the story framing that reveals the agenda in our press.

Our press is united in opposition to the accord because President Bush is supporting it, reporters tend to take the most nihilistic view of anything they cover, and besides it’s easy to take shots at Musharraf when Pakistan’s in election season.

El Masri Dead? (not yet)

almasri.bmpThis morning we have conflicting reports that Al Masri (“the Egyptian”) who is Al Qaida’s successor to Al Zarqawi in Iraq was killed by US forces.  From Reuters:

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – The U.S. military on Thursday denied reports it had killed the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq Abu Ayyub al-Masri.

“There was a raid where we thought he may have been among those killed. We are still doing DNA tests but we do not believe coalition forces have killed al-Masri,” U.S. military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Barry Johnson told Reuters.

Earlier, an Iraqi government source, who did not want to be named, said Masri and three of his aides were killed in the western Iraqi town of Haditha on Wednesday after U.S. forces launched an airstrike and ground assault on a safe house.

Masri’s predecessor, Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was killed in a U.S. airstrike in June

Al Masri specializes in car bombs, and this would be a large victory against Al Qaida since bombings are behind much of the sectarian fighting of late. Car bombing incidents have risen dramatically since Al Masri took over, and they have concentrated in Baghdad.

Karangal Pass in Kunar Re-opened

The previously sealed Karangal pass in the Kunar region of Afghanistan has been re-opened, which will be a great relief to the people living there. With winter coming on, and food short it was probably needed to prevent humanitarian crisis. The Tribal leaders are promising to drive out the Taliban as part of the deal, but that remains to be seen.

Mike Gallagher a Hero, But Boycott his Show

Mike Gallagher has done something great, he’s a wonderful talk show host of a nationally syndicated radio show, but you should boycott his show just one time. While driving home this evening I heard about this at KCMO from the Jerry Agar show.

There is pure evil that is instantly recognizable to all sane people, an instance of that is the sadist who murdered the five Amish schoolchildren, and who shot five others. Just as evil as he is are the members of the Westboro Baptist Church, led by Fred and Shirley Phelps, who planned to protest at the funeral holding signs with statements such as:

Your daughters are Whores who will burn in hell

Fred and Shirley are publicity seekers, they protest at gay funerals, at military funerals, and other events to “get their message across”.

Palestine in Paris

Please stop by Little Green Footballs, to see how French policies of multiculturalism and pacifism have imported Palestine to the banks of the Seine. You won’t believe the video.. on the other hand, perhaps you will since the retreat of the French Police seen is no different than all of their other retreats.
