Elmasry: It’s Not Religious

mohammed-elmasry.jpgMohammed ElMasry, spokesperson for the Canadian Islamic Council, tries to say that the teen brutally murdered by her father for not wearing a headscarve wasn’t about religion. Forget the fact that the fundamentalist sects which are now the Saudi-funded vogue across the Islamic world require one. From Ace of Spades:

“I don’t want the public to think that this is really an Islamic issue or an immigrant issue,” said Mohamed Elmasry of the Canadian Islamic Congress.

“It is a teenager issue.” – ElMasry

No, it’s a brutal murder driven by evil ideology propagated by gaping flaws of Tribal Islamic Sharia in the modern world.

There’s a great article in the Sun today about the issue, and Salim Mansur contrasts how the CIC is a hate organization itself, and intends to muzzle free speech by filing suit against Mark Steyn and McClean’s magazine:

But the greater frivolity is the HRC’s willingness to hear the complaint from an organization whose president, Mohamed Elmasry, is on public record in Canada for the suggestion — though later retracted under duress — that Israelis in general over the age of 18 are legitimate targets for Palestinian suicide-bombers.

The murder of Aqsa Parvez and of countless other women among Muslims will continue not merely because Muslims cower in silence in their fear of radical Islamists, but also for the apathy of the Western public and politicians supinely appeasing and accommodating Muslim organizations such as the CIC.

Here’s a link to that statement about Israel; and other hate statements can be found at Wiki. ElMasry also seeks to intimidate Muslims across Canada by calling them Takfir, or Apostate, as he did to Tarek Fatah. He seems to not follow his own words:

In Mecca, the ancient K’aaba is the designated House of God and the first ritual for a Hajj pilgrim is to circle the Kaaba seven times. Men perform this rite dressed in two simple pieces of coarse white seamless cloth, one for the lower body and another for the upper. Women wear their traditional clothing, usually in white.

The vast visual image of white-garbed circling humanity sends a powerful sensory and spiritual message, affirming that all human beings are created equal in the eyes of God and that only God can judge them.

So essentially you have a spokesman for terrorists, a neo-takfirist, and an apologist for a brutal murderer filing suit against Mark Steyn. You have to wonder if the commission would take a case against Elmasry for his hate speech and intimidation?

This is the modern world, and you do not have the right to not be offended. You don’t have the right to call someone names and have them outcast or punished because they offend you. You don’t have the right to intimidate your fellow muslims, for they are sovereign individuals here, and it’s why they come here fleeing from the strong-man tyranny of the Islamic world.

The Human Rights commission is not only foolish to take the case; they would be clearly treading on the Charter of Canadian Rights if they make the ruling for Elmasry. At that point every member on the commission should be replaced, through whatever legal vehicles exist.

At that point complaints must be filed against Elmasry for every statement he has made against Jews. At that point cases must be filed against Elmasry for every statement he has made against gays. At that point Tarek Fatah must file a case against Elmasry for branding him Takfir.

I have faith and confidence in the people of Canada, there might be an inch gained by the fundamentalists here if the ruling goes against Mark Steyn, but in the end two miles will be lost for death clericists regardless of ruling.

For a contrasting view check AIFD.

Update on the Case against Mark Steyn at National Review Online.

Their outlook is gloomy, will Canadians so easily give up their Liberty to a gaggle of Eurocrats and hate-mullahs?

Emergency Rule Lifted in Pakistan

Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf lifted Emergency rule after making last minute changes to Pakistan’s constitution. These were to ensure that he could not be prosecuted after a new parliament sweeps in after the January elections.

Many are doubting the legitimacy of the elections, but the fact is that all of the major parties of Pakistan are in, and none are boycotting.

Normally I don’t serve up Al (qaida’s) Jazeera network stories here, but they are the only ones reporting this early. So here’s the AJ report, note that midway through you can see the First Troofer, Hamid Gul, sitting a table with a button on.

Roses in Winter

roses-in-winter.jpgWhat is a youth? Impetuous fire.
What is a maid? Ice and desire.
The world wags on.

A rose will bloom
It then will fade
So does a youth.
So does the fairest maid.

Comes a time when one sweet smile
Has its season for a while…Then love’s in love with me.
Some they think only to marry, Others will tease and tarry,
Mine is the very best parry. Cupid he rules us all.
Caper the cape, but sing me the song,
Death will come soon to hush us along.
Sweeter than honey and bitter as gall.
Love is a task and it never will pall.
Sweeter than honey…and bitter as gall
Cupid he rules us all
— From Romeo and Juliet, a song paraphrase of Shakespeare

The Sound and the Fury II

The Sound and the Fury II

Being an entirely random depository of evidence, findings, musings, observations, questions, & notes from my study of Vlaams Belang.

This is the ugly part of journalism – raw notes and research, cut and pasted here. I wanted you to see some of the process and effort that goes on in the background to research things, it ain’t pretty, but you can see that it’s thorough and also multi-sourced. In other words the analysis and conclusions come to here are not just on a whim, or after looking at one thing. I am not posting the VB site things I’ve dug up, because that is already out in other articles at other sites. Enjoy.

Let’s start at the beginning – when the debate over Vlaams Belang first came up, I was one of their initial defenders, saying they were less fascist than the Swedish Democrats, but after more research at their sites to validate what I was saying, I came across a few things, this was among the first and it prompted an article in the series at Little Green Footballs. This is the banner that VB cartoonist, Fre, uses for his column on cartoons in the VB youth magazine.

Another example of how they indoctrinate youth:

Jonger Acktief (JA)

kruit-copy.gif.

This site is now “independent” since the court ruling against Vlaams Blok, but it was the outlet for youth propaganda. Note however that they still have the latest Vlaams Belang stuff, and still sell Odin’s cross necklaces. The new VB stuff they have to get from somewhere and would assume they need permission to sell it.

If you dig around on the site you will see Voorpost flags and lebensrunes in some pics along with a flag. I”m still researching the flag. (White background, Black Cross, Red Dragon over all.)

[*Note that the grave marker on the left bar at the site above is from Ijzer, (Yser river) near Diksmuide, it commemorates World War 1 and the Flemish who died in the fields there, and is a historic marker important to all Flemish people. It’s in memory of the lost generation, the horrific trench warfare that disillusioned all towards war, and the battles commemorated by the poem “In Flanders Fields.” There’s not a darned thing wrong with it, please do not get it confused with the white power sign as it’s completely different. The difference is the shape of the arms, and the width of the base as it follows the traditional religious Celtic Cross cross use. In the banner above you can see the Odin cross variety typically used to designate white power or “Identity purists. This is the banner of stormfront. The cross in the banner is outlawed in nearby Germany, the stylized Celtic cross with widening arms as seen on graves clearly is not.]

Kaffir – Kuffar?

Just a reminder : Kaffir was used extensively in Apartheid South Africa, it dates far back and might be borrowed from the Muslim denigration for non-believers: “Kuffar.”

Vlaams Belang group is still linked into the Flemish and Dutch supremacist fronts via voorpost and Ijzerwake activities. There are usually solidarity speeches with White South Africa, or the Afrikaaners at every Zangerfeest and Ijzerwake, at Voorpost this poster is a permanent fixture of the wall, as you can see they’ve run electric conduit over the top:

An Interview With Al Qaeda Emir of Training at Haditha

In this MEMRI clip there is a lot to be learned. It’s an interview with a Palestinian AQ operative who outlines how they were trained, supplied, funded, as well as their structure. Some of it is probably elaboration, but there are grains of truth here.

It also speaks well of our efforts, as AQ has suffered massive defeats, even though they had troops from almost every Islamic country in the world.

Hats off to our troops who took them all on and put them all away except the cowards who ran away like this one.

The Sound and the Fury

stmaartensfonds-flag.jpg “The Flemish nationalists are the heirs of the collaborators of 1940-1945”
Karel Dillen in 1990.
..

Introduction

It’s time to detail the full facts of the controversy over Vlaams Belang simply because the main issue around the feud has become entirely obscured in the back and forth and the emotions of the spat.

I want to lay out the argument and the facts I know in concise form, because many are are confused by the piecemeal nature of the back and forth posts over weeks. The problem with the back and forth is the focus on single details and rationalizations rather than the collective mass of facts or larger picture.

You should also be aware before you read that I’ve decided on the matter — my conclusion is that allying with Vlaams Belang would be strategically inept while providing little value, and would both harm our efforts to stem illegal immigration and sap support for our anti-Islamofacist efforts.

This is the case whether VB is taking a course to reform or not. There is too much evidence from their own sites, manifestos, statements, party publications, and affiliated groups that their leadership is not distant enough from the stance on collaborators, identity politics, and immature political theater to make any alliance with them sane. Even if they are making whole-hearted honest efforts to reform, the track record is just not long enough. (Some in their leadership are I think, some others aren’t.)

There is a also a large moral question in the midst of this bickering which I cannot decide for you — what I can do is leave the moral questions aside for the moment and put forth just the facts and the positions.

[ Editors note 4/23/2026 — while I was still Republican I was still white washing & downplaying the fact that VB is/was/ and continues to be a fascist/Nazi party. What a cur I was. ]

What I know

After investigating Vlaams Belang I found many indicators that their post-Vlaams Blok metamorphosis for their leadership is surface-veneer only; somewhat forced by the Belgian court decsions against their prior incarnation as well as EU laws against overt anti-semitism and overt Nazism. Couple that with the realpolitic of the alliances they need to control Antwerp, and you have a posture, not a firm stance.

The court order would have stopped public funding and since public funding is the only type that parties in Belgium are allowed to spend, the order would have killed Vlaams Blok; hence the softer, kinder, more compassionate Vlaams Belang.

Since the court order a second attempt has been tried to cut funds from Vlaams Belang based on Filip Dewinters statement that he is an “Islamophobe.” There’s really nothing wrong with that other than choice of words. (He is essentially saying that he is not rational – the definition of a phobia is an “irrational fear” – regardless, that’s not something that should be taken to court, and it’s wrong of other parties to do so.)

I’m a Fool to do Your Dirty Work, Oh Yeah

Israel sent ten tanks into Southern Gaza in a limited incursion to take out missile launching sites used by Hamas today. Hamas was thoroughly ineffective in stopping them, as you can see by the report. The kicker is at the end of the article however.

The Islamic Jihad militant group said one member was killed and three others were wounded in an Israeli ground attack on a rocket-launching squad.
The violence came a day after Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert pledged to “forge a historic path” toward a final accord with the moderate Palestinian government in the West Bank, led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

On Wednesday, the two sides are to launch their first formal peace talks in seven years. But Olmert has warned that Israel would not implement any peace deal until Abbas regains control of Gaza and reins in militants there and in the West Bank.

So no peace until Fatah gets HAMAS under reign in Gaza — well we’ve seen the fabled “bravery” of Fatah, so you know who’s going to do the dirty work in the end, the initials are IDF.

I’m a fool to do your dirty work
Oh yeah
I don’t wanna do your dirty work
No more
I’m a fool to do your dirty work
Oh yeah…

Like the castle in its corner
In a medieval game
I foresee terrible trouble
And I stay here just the same
