There’s a new email virus making the rounds, Nuwar, so be careful if you receive an email about war with Iran. Here’s what’s known about it:
W32/Nuwar@MM is a mass-mailing worm that attempts to send copies of itself based on email information harvested from the host system. The latest W32/Nuwar@MM spam messages are about war in the Middle East between Iran and the United States. The spammed emails contain a link to a video that purports to show the first minutes of the beginning of World War III. The file that is ultimately downloaded is an executable, often called iran_occupation.exe or Form.exe. McAfee can clean it but be sure not to ever go to sites of this sort to prevent infections.
