JeM, LeJ, and SeS Join Al Qaeda

A new report from Pakistan states that the terrorist groups Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-e-Jangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba have joined Al Qaida in alignment against the government and people of Pakistan. Keep in mind that most believe JeM to be an umbrella group, with subsidiaries among the various Kashmir Jihadi groups, such as HJI. The report also identifies their leader in North Waziristan, Abu Ali Tunisi, or “The Tunisian” — note the naming convention matches Al Qaeda practice.

From International News:

Intelligence agencies believe that rebels of three militant groups – Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-e-Jangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba – have joined al-Qaeda to increase terrorist activities, targeting Pakistan Army, government personalities and installations.

These rebels are being led by Abu Ali Tunisi, a Jehadi hailing from Tunisia. Tunisi, based in North Waziristan, is coordinating with the militant groups and individuals, who believe in bringing about a revolution through terrorism, an intelligence agency told The News.

This is both good and bad news — at least we know who has been leading the mayhem and kidnapping of soldiers in the Frontiers. The same report also stated that the army captured and disarmed two massive VBIEDs.

Also noteworthy: Afghan and US forces took out 19 Taliban who were firing cross-border by using artillery against them. Note to terrorists — if you fire at the Afghan or US forces they will kill you, there’s no sanctuary.
