The nations that are having a hard time producing enough food for their people shoud take lessons from us and the Isrealis on how to convert deserts to farmland. Solar and wind power can provide the electricity to run pumps and the machinery needed to irrigate and fertilize the crops. The UN hands out food instead of showing these nations how to produce their own. Remember the saying "..show a man how to fish...." Republicans like Charles Grassley. Yeah, there are some great problems with biofuels. Those problems need working on; there's a chance they can get worked out. But yelling at Al Gore for stuff he didn't do, claiming he did the opposite of what he did, doesn't help.
