Remember to take some time this week to send each of your congress critters a white feather to demonstrate your disgust over passage of the Iraq surrender bill. Gateway Pundit has an easy way to do it, GET YOUR WHITE FEATHERS HERE.

Congress’ politicization and pork barreling of this spending bill is already having an effect on the troops and the war. To fill the gap Air Force personell are being reassigned to ground duty, and this is only going to get worse as this incredibly stupid delay stretches on and revitalizes our enemies.

Already the left is trying to stem this tide of feathers with the chickenhawk argument, but that doesn’t play in this case. This isn’t about getting enough volunteers, we have willing soldiers aplenty there now who are capable, proficient, and proud of the noble duties they perform. 

Instead it’s about getting those brave souls the money and equipment they need to survive, the bullets they use to defend Iraqi children both Shia and Sunni, and the ordnance needed to kill the murderous thugs of Al Qaeda in Iraq.

So if you get the chance to hand your congress critter a white feather in front of cameras, please do so!

All Democrats in particular should feel deep shame about the behaviour of their elected representatives. If you don’t support the troops there now you are just heralding in a huge humanitarian crisis, civil and sectarian war, and a widening of the conflict.

Forget about the reasons for war and the current insurgency and put on your Geopolitic / Realpolitic hat a moment: Do you think for a moment that if we leave precipitously before Iraq can fully defend themselves from their neighbors that their neighbors (Turkey, Iran, Syria) won’t take advantage of that? Do you think for a moment that there won’t be a huge refugee flood and children dieing in refugee camps? Do you think for a moment that the war won’t widen?

Someone just emailed me suggesting that those supporting our troops take leaf blowers and pillowcases full of white feathers to future Democrat Speaking engagements…. I want everyone to know that I would never ever suggest that.
