200+ law enforcement officials are searching a 900 acre area in South Kansas City, Missouri for the missing Kansas teen, Kelsey Smith.
Update: Kelsey has been found deceased in the area of search. I don’t know what else to say but that my heart goes out to her family, and her friends, this is a terrible thing to hear.

In a video update we have tape of a “person of interest” meaning the police want to find the man in the tape because he might have information – it doesn’t necessarily mean he is suspect. Police do report that they have video of Kelsey being forced into her own car, but that is not being released.

Muslims who follow these false jihadis, these disciples of the Daijal Bin Laden, are fools. Al Qaeda and the Taliban have murdered and butchered ten times more Pashtuns than the US forces, but the US kills greater than a  Twenty-to-one ratio of Taliban forces when the Taliban actually face them for battle. That would be on the rare occasions when the Taliban aren’t fighting schoolgirls, killing teachers, or blowing up the defenseless in marketplaces. Also notice that there is a definite split in command here, we now have heard from Zawahiri and Baby Daddullah, who both say there are different leaders of the efforts in Afghanistan.

William “Cool Money” Jefferson, D-LA, has set a new record for corruption with his 16 count, 94 page indictment. Jefferson, known for keeping his money on ice could serve up to 200 years if found guilty on all counts.
The worrisome aspect that the media fails to highlight is that Jefferson is accused in the indictment of working with corrupt officials from a foreign government, that of Nigeria.
It seems that this is the Democrat trend the past few years – taking money from foreigners. See previous articles on this HERE and HERE. A politician for sale to the highest bidder is bad, but one for sale to the highest bidder-country is infinitely worse.

President Musharaaf of Pakistan and PEMRA (Pakistan’s version of the FCC,) have ammended rules for broadcast that effectively allow them to shut down political dissent in the run-up to the elections. It also allows the possibility of shutting down some of the mullah’s stations, such as the ones that broadcast against child vaccinations.
Which way it would be used was unclear until tonight. Already there are reports of general stations being shut down that broadcast political leaders in Pakistan.
This is a dangerous path. As can be seen from Venezuela’s attempts to shut down dissent, acting in this manner can create more unrest than allowing inflammatory views does. The good news is that the newspapers, blogs, and internet are still operative, and seem to very open, carrying many articles adamantly against the move.
This will keep the discussion to the educated, and cut off some provacateurs who appeal to the illiterate and poor, sometimes to bad results. That said, it’s always bad when government interfers with free discourse, and this is a blow to freedom. Normally I link to the stories in the papers, but tonight instead I will link to blogs, where they report that some stations have already been shut down. This way you will be able to get a sense for things in the comments.

The investigation continues into the nursing hostel and five Christians accused by the radical madrassa, Jamia Hafsa/Lal Masjid, allegedly of defacing a Quranic verse on a water cooler.
There’s a lot of politicking going on in Pakistan now, all parties are pitching invective back and forth, and many are criticizing the stifling of television and cable debates in which the Lawyers are critical of the army. That’s something you don’t do in Pakistan.
Meantime the papers still carry it all, and Reporters Without Borders has jumped in to criticize Musharaaf for muzzling the press.
